Proud to be a part of todayโs groundbreaking for the stateโs newest Dental College of Georgia campus. The Savannah facility will help us fill the growing need for more dentists in our state and offer more opportunities for careers right here at home so students donโt have to leave Georgia!

Todayโs Supreme Court ruling further weakens a law born out of sacrifice, struggle, and the determination of people who risked everything for the right to vote.
Voting rights remain essential to justice, representation, and the dignity of citizenship. This decision certainly weakens key protections and sets up a path that could make fair representation even more difficult.
This is a critical election year, and it is also a critical moment to call for new voting rights legislation.
Through Kingian Nonviolence, we can organize, strategize, and coordinate our efforts to combat voter suppression and create a pathway to restore and protect representation.
Register. Verify your status. Make a plan to vote. Help others do the same.
If we are serious about creating the Beloved Community, we must be serious about protecting and using the right to vote.

Todayโs Supreme Court decision in ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ช๐ด๐ช๐ข๐ฏ๐ข ๐ท๐ด. ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ช๐ด gutted what remains of the Voting Rights Act. This ruling opens the door to racial gerrymandering that will take us back to Jim Crow. This is a betrayal of Black voters, America, and democracy.ย Another Bloody Sunday.

My wife is traveling with a layover in Nashville and saw this ad from @MeharryMedical . I AM HERE FOR THIS! If you are going to do an airport ad, really any ad, if it isnโt something people will share and talk about, youโve wasted your money. This is how you do an ad.

Why Big Pharma Keeps Moving the Goalposts on Blood Pressure Numbers -- Turning Healthy People into Patients for Profit?
Historical "Normal" BP Shifts:
- 1940: 100 + your age (e.g., 170/95 fine for a 70yr old)
- 1970: 160/90
- 2000: 140/90
- 2025: Must be under 120/80, or you're "hypertensive"
The Profit Machine:
- Anti-hypertensive drugs raked in $36.7 BILLION in 2024 alone
- Lower thresholds = more diagnoses = more lifelong prescriptions
- Meds don't fix root causes, just symptomsโleading to more pills for side effects
Hidden Dangers of BP Meds:
- Chronic cough
- Low sodium & potassium
- Dizziness & headaches
- Dehydration & muscle cramps
- Gout & joint pain
- Insomnia, nightmares, & depression
- Slow heartbeat & heart palpitations
- Asthma symptoms
- Sexual/erectile dysfunction
- Fainting & kidney issues
- Angioedema (swelling of face/tongue)
- Very low BP increases chronic illness & mortality risk, especially in seniors
Natural Ways to Optimize Your BP (No Pill Deficiency Here!):
- Adopt a whole-food, low-carb diet prioritizing nutrient-dense animal foods
- Eliminate seed oils, processed junk, & sugar
- Boost potassium & magnesium via unrefined mineral salts & targeted supplementsโthey power your body's sodium-potassium pump
- Focus on lifestyle: stress reduction, exercise
Higher BP in older adults often means longer lifeโdon't let them scare you into over-medication!

Rev. Jesse Jackson understood the immense promise of America and his role in shaping its destiny. With courage, tenacity and an audacious spirit, he widened our capacity for imagining true unity and deepened our commitment to justice for all. I was one of the lucky beneficiaries of a vision he never forsook. God bless him and the Jackson family.

#RestInPower to Rev. Jesse Jackson. Today, we honor a giant whose voice, courage, and love for our people shaped generations. Reverend Jesse Jackson was not only a civil rights iconโhe was family to the NAACP.
His legacy sits at the heart of our work and at the center of this nationโs fight for justice. We carry his light forward. naacp.org/articles/naacpโฆ
