The most illuminating part of the letter is screenshotted below: -- Apparently, Giants management did not convey to the players that the wearing of the Pride uniforms was not mandatory. (Perhaps because had they done so, many more of the players than were strongly enough motivated to engage in protest by writing Bible verses on their Pride hats would have declined to wear the uniforms.) -- "The players were neither fined nor disciplined, *nor will they ever be.*" The league has just issued official league-wide guidance giving every player license to opt out of Pride celebration without penalty. Let's see how many players wear the uniform next year.

Our investigation into MLB will continue. MLB thinks it can sweep this under the rug with a non-apology. Any sign of Christian viewpoint discrimination will be rooted out.

“The players were neither fined nor disciplined, nor will they ever be.” So what was the point of MLB issuing a warning to the players? If you give someone a warning, there’s implied to be consequences for disobeying, right? MLB knows they screwed up and are trying to save face.

JUST IN: MLB has reversed course and will not fine Giants players who wore Bible verse messages on LGBTQ Pride caps. GOOD.

Major League Baseball needs to get rid of Pride Nights altogether… They should not allow the Los Angeles Dodgers & San Francisco Giants the ability to coerce or shame Christian players into participating in a celebration of what the Bible calls sin. Players that don’t wear the Pride gear get just as much hate & vitriol as when they write bible verses on them.

This basically means athletes can opt out of Pride uniforms now without fear of discipline from leagues

.@MLB Commissioner writes to me and admits they were wrong to threaten the Giants players over Bible verses and promises never to fine or discipline these players - or any players for their religious beliefs

Does @MLB not understand that celebrating pride night at the ballpark IS messaging on a political and social issue and it offends some segments of the fan base?

Sorry but rates were not 3% when we first bought our homes. They were 12% and we made $3.34 an hour. We also had children to feed, didn’t go out to eat more than a couple times a year and had zero money left over at the end of the month after paying all bills. We worked our way up the working ladder and didn’t buy bigger and better things as we made more money so we could start saving and investing. Life is hard. Stop making it harder with your excuses.

Amanda Seyfried had to use a bodyguard amid MAGA outrage over calling Charlie Kirk "hateful" after his death. “A, I’m allowed to f*cking voice my feelings, and B, do it in a way that’s not unkind necessarily. But there’s just an outsized fear and hatred and impulse to bash and to tear down. And I experienced a very small fraction of that. I want my kids to be able to feel safe to voice their opinions as long as they’re not harmful. So I’m like, ‘What do I do? What do I say?’ And then all of a sudden I find myself with a f*cking bodyguard at the airport and I’m like, ‘This is crazy.’” (British GQ) variety.com/2026/film/news…
