Announced in February, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX has been honored with the Special Award at the 46th Nihon SF Taishō Awards, continuing its streak of awards and industry recognition. The award was received earlier today by director Kazuya Tsurumaki. The Nihon SF Taishō Awards are presented annually by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of Japan, recognizing outstanding works in science fiction and fantasy across novels, manga, animation, and film. Past recipients include Hideaki Anno, Katsuhiro Otomo, Mamoru Oshii, Noriyoshi Ohrai, and Leiji Matsumoto.
