🇫🇷 A 12-year-old girl in France woke up covered in blood after being gang raped by two adult men in an Airbnb. A judge just released them without a restraining order, without supervised contact restrictions... nothing. At the hearing, the child collapsed in her lawyer's office upon hearing the men were to be set free. 生成AI検索の最適化（GEO、LLMO）の評価基準、実は2023年にGEO-benchという名前で世界的に有名になっています。 例えばこの辺り。ざっくり紹介すると ・引用元の説明文等の単語数 ・引用の掲載位置 ・引用が質問に対してどれだけ関連しているか ・引用が回答全体にどれだけ強く影響したか ・引用元が他の引用と被らず独立しているか ・引用が多様かどうか etc. このGEO-benchなる指標を提唱したのは、計算機科学や自然言語処理、AIなどの研究で世界トップオブトップな、アメリカのプリンストン大学。 泣く子も黙るアイビーリーグですし、数学でも有名ですよね。当然Googleもここの出身者はめちゃくちゃいます。 そのプリンストンを含む複数大学の連合からなる研究チームが、論文『GEO: Generative Engine Optimization』を発表したのが2023年。 「GEO」という言葉が世界的に定着するきっかけになった論文です。あープリンストンがこれ言うのか、なら間違いないだろう、と言う感じで当時見ておりました。 この論文で、上で書いたGEO-benchが提唱されていたんですよね。 論文では他にもVisibilityを改善せよ、サイテーションや引用、統計を利用せよ、と言った指針が今でもGEOの基礎として多くの現場で使われていますよね。 GEO、LLMO系の元ネタの大半、これが原液じゃないかなと思います。他にもあるとは思いますが。 arxiv.org/abs/2311.09735
