At @ThisIsPattern we recently launched MarineLayer.com's new Custom Club experience. Their team bakes precision and polish into everything that they do, so it was a pleasure to ship beautiful new experiences with them once again. The all new Product Customizer delivers a truly whimsical and fun experience including patches, embroidery and more that allow anyone to create deeply personalized gifts that are perfect for the holidays. The Pattern design team also crafted a visual experience that mimics the psychedelic cool of their in-store popups for customizations, including UX and design that captures the physical feeling of Marine Layer’s incredibly plush, proprietary fabrics. As a fan of their clothes as well, it was a pleasure to lead our fantastic engineering team at Pattern to ship this deeply complex project at scale. Check it out: marinelayer.com/pages/customcl…

Think buttery-smooth PDPs, an interactive Fabric Explorer, and cinematic animations that bring the brand’s California-cool vibe online. Soft fabrics, smooth UX. Really stoked to share our latest for Allbirds. In 2015 they set out to create an entirely new category of shoes inspired by natural materials and guided by an ethos to create better things in a better way.
10 years later, Allbirds partnered with our team @ThisIsPattern to launch a comprehensive ecommerce redesign on @Shopify, debuting a new digital flagship that sets the stage for the brand’s next chapter. The new experience reimagines site architecture, UX, content strategy, and visual design to better showcase an expanded product line and amplify Allbirds’ bold new brand platform, By Nature.
