Most kids don’t lack discipline.
They lack feedback.
If they can’t see progress,
they won’t feel motivated.

@AmitTurkaspa That’s a great point.
Being part of the community
before trying to promote anything
does feel more sustainable.
Curious —
how do you usually find the right communities?
English

@Treeboy833 Beyond marketing and SEO, genuinely building a presence where your audience already congregates and offering value there is key. This often means being present and helpful in niche communities *before* you even need to drive traffic.
English

You spend weeks (or months)
building an app.
You ship it.
And then…
How do you actually get people
to discover it?

She’s not chasing perfection.
Just showing up,
a little more each day.
And for the first time,
she can actually see her progress.
That changes everything.
HabitLight —
not to control kids,
but to help them grow, step by step.

English

Most kids don’t lack discipline.
They lack a way
to see their progress.
When effort becomes visible,
motivation changes.
Not perfect.
Just one small step, every day.

@JacobSobolev That’s a great way to look at it.
But I’m curious —
does a good system create consistency,
or does consistency help build the system?
English

@Treeboy833 It’s the friction of consistency that matters most. Don't focus on the perfect result, focus on the system you build. That’s the real win.
English

This is what consistency looks like.
Not perfect.
Just… showing up.
6 days.
6 check-ins.
Small points, but real progress.
For kids,
being able to see this
changes everything.

@CarlosBBuild Yes, the quiet atmosphere is more inspiring, and another sip of whiskey is even better.
English

@CarlosBBuild That’s a good point.
Do you think it’s more about clarity of the message,
or visual design that drives conversions?
English

@Treeboy833 Having a good App Store landing page to help with conversations
English

@Treeboy833 Thanks! That really means a lot 🙏
For edge cases — I manually create events with short lead times (1–2 min), across midnight, and overlapping ones. Testing across Google, iCloud & Outlook too.
Still finding new ones! That's the fun part 😅

Progress note ⚡
Challenging myself to post every day this week.
CalSyncAlert v1.7 is live — iPad support + large widget added.
Now working on alarm reliability improvements for edge cases.
Small steps every day.

@LessonsFromProd That’s a great point.
Better to see the problems early
than ship and pretend they don’t exist.
English

@Treeboy833 That unlock screen though. You nail one thing and the app immediately reveals three more that were hiding. At least you know they exist now. Most people ship without ever seeing half of what you just found.
English

Fixed a bug.
Felt powerful.
Opened the app again.
2 new bugs unlocked.
Hahaha......

@samshot_01 That’s cool.
Clipboard sync alone is already super useful.
English

@Treeboy833 Feels very different fr..
I'm currently building Copynsync with it

Okayy.. I'm working on Copynsync - an Airdrop alternative, to automatically mirror my clipboard across different devices in real-time and also send files (over local network).
