Imagine the government allowed people to keep some or all of their benefits for the first few months while they start a job as that period has extra expenses. Conversely imagine if they slowly dial down the benefits the longer they are on them.

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 It has been my experience that the people living on government handouts become afraid to even look for a job, as they are worried about jeopardizing their current subsidy. I think those incentives should change to motivate people to work (if they can).

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 Ok, so we agree people who need housing should have it. Where I think you and I differ is in that I don't think more is the answer. I think dialing down the rampant fraud in these systems would make more room for those with real needs.

Some of these people will make it a temporary and work to be somewhere better. Most will take advantage of the handouts and become less productive as a result. Do you agree?
