@mariotwtconfess FLUDD allows Mario to have really good edgeguarding and that fits perfectly with Mario's overall philosophy. He's a character that's meant for beginners but is also more aerial focused.

@mariotwtconfess MKW took 6 years to be developed and that's also including things that wouldn't be required in a DLC. It would also just make sense to have DLC ready for that type of game

@ToadlyToad The main reason why people think it's not as unique is because it outright reuses tilesets from NSMBW. That already makes it feel extremely derivative. The level design is also overly "guided". Lots of slow levels that force you to do what the level designer wants.

NSMB2 has pretty solid level design and has more new ideas than either home console NSMB game I don’t understand why it’s considered the worst and most unoriginal NSMB game

@DriftCons You put it well. The levels being easy is a symptom of how they're designed, not the root cause. The idea of per level mechanics was a way to give every level its own flavor. But those mechanics are still meant to challenge the player's platforming skills.

I don't think Wonder being easy compared to classic/nsmb games is as bad a thing as ppl say the issue is that its level design favours flatter landscapes choreographed to showcase new enemies/gimmicks over traditional platforming would've loved to see stuff like this more often

i did not realize how good mario 64's controls generally are until i played galaxy again

@wariocolosseum It's a skill check for Mario Kart fundies. You've been rail grinding and wall riding the entire game, but can you drift really tight turns? It ends up being a decently tricky track due to how small it is
