@cork_reds Iraola’s teams play great, exciting football. A manager of his ilk, available on a free, he should be the clear number one choice in my opinion.
English

@cork_reds Carrick has done a decent job in my view, but the results and performances against Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Leeds are hard to overlook. He’s simply not experienced enough yet to take charge of a club the size of United.
English

@MUFCScoop Finally some common sense regarding the Manager job and who should be in the running. Carrick is nowhere near good enough. Thanks but bye 👋
English

🚨 Andoni Iraola has emerged as the strongest candidate to rival Michael Carrick for the job as Manchester United’s next permanent head coach.
Iraola is strongly admired by the club with the work he has done at Bournemouth and – in particular – his coaching and attacking style of play. There is a sense that he would fit into what United are trying to do.

@henrywinter The fuss about Ben White stepping on Atletico Madrid’s crest is overblown. Why put it in the middle of the tunnel if it’s off-limits? It’s a badge on the pitch, players should just walk normally. Teams and players need to stop turning nothing into drama!
English

Ben White clearly made an innocent mistake when walking across the Atletico Madrid crest. He's not showing a lack of respect. He’s caught up in the emotion of the occasion. Simeone father and especially son were unimpressed… #AFC 1/2

Amad now has the dreaded 'out of form' status, but anyone writing him off has a short memory #mufc

English

@Muppetiers Taking Amad off at half-time felt far too negative from Carrick. He’s showing he can steady things, but he’s still interim level, nowhere near the experience or quality needed to manage a club of this size long-term. Big decisions coming this summer.
English

@ChrisWheelerDM While Jim may want to appoint Carrick, ultimately the Glazers will have the final say.

Why Michael Carrick is giving Sir Jim Ratcliffe 100million reasons to hand him the Man Utd job #mufc mol.im/a/15766587

@cork_reds One of my favourites. Ruud was an absolutely brilliant striker and a lethal finisher. It was such a shame he suffered that injury, especially when we saw how brilliant he was after signing the following year. Disappointing how it all ended before his move to Real. Legend IMO!
English

@ChrisWheelerDM @NathSalt1 @MailSport Regardless of whether the team secures a Champions League spot, Carrick was brought in on an interim basis and has limited experience, particularly at a club of this size. Appointing him permanently risks repeating the same mistake the club made with Ole and to an extent ETH!!

@MUFCPremYrs Forget Scoles. Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez one of the best and front threes in premier league has ever seen.
English

@mjcritchley Carrick will be another poor appointment if it happens. Iraloa should be no1 - available on a free.

Michael Carrick's substitutions came under the spotlight in defeat to Leeds
Carrick makes his first sub later than any other Premier League manager on average
It was a similar story at Middlesbrough too nytimes.com/athletic/71983…

@LucasNavarreteM Every year in the Champions League, a Spanish team complains about a referee and a decision or more. No Spanish team in the next round is best thing to happen!!
English

@UtdXclusive @AndyMitten Shocking decision. If you’re brought in as an intern, focus on doing your job well, stay in your lane, and leave with your head held high.
English

🚨💣 BREAKING:
🗣️ @AndyMitten on if Manchester United’s defeat and performance against Leeds will impact Michael Carrick being appointed long-term as head coach:
"Nothing has changed. If he takes Manchester United into the Champions Legaue, he will KEEP the job. Manchester United have been and will continue to do their due diligence over the managerial possibilities, where coaches are likely to be in one years time, two years time and that’s exactly what they should be doing.
The way it is at the moment, it works in Carrick’s favour. Some of the people, for various reasons, World Cup or whatever, will not be available. People are pretty comfortable with Carrick, but he needs to get that Champions League."

@writtenoff_mufc Iraola is already proven in the Premier League.. We should absolutely be in for him. He’s far more experienced than Carrick, and if Carrick is even in the conversation, Iraola should be the clear No.1 choice IMO.
English

@ManUnitedZone Iraola should be no1 signing and appointment come the end of the season. No way should Carrick get the manager job, he hasn't done enough to prove himself, way off it.
English

@lauriewhitwell Based on recent performances and especially 1st half against Leeds and the performance and result against Newcastle Carrick should not be considered for the managers job, particularly when someone like Iraola is available on a free.
English

Boos round Old Trafford at half-time as United trail Leeds 2-0. Could be a wider margin. Leeds have bullied United. Some openings to reduce the deficit but United are uncertain in final third. Changes needed. #MUFC
English

@AdamCrafton_ Iraola should be a serious contender for Manchester United. Available on a free, experienced in the Premier League, and plays attacking football!
