Casemiro being put so high… if it’s tactical with the Sesko sub then it’s a massive error from Carrick here. We were up 2-0, why was Casemiro at ST 2 mins into the half and why is he staying there?

@cork_reds Iraola’s teams play great, exciting football. A manager of his ilk, available on a free, he should be the clear number one choice in my opinion.

@cork_reds Carrick has done a decent job in my view, but the results and performances against Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Leeds are hard to overlook. He’s simply not experienced enough yet to take charge of a club the size of United.

Michael Carrick has definitely done enough to earn a shot at the permanent job, and he is the safe bet. But I am a big fan of Iraola, too. Part of me hopes that he is at least interviewed by the club. Thoughts guys?

@Muppetiers Taking Amad off at half-time felt far too negative from Carrick. He’s showing he can steady things, but he’s still interim level, nowhere near the experience or quality needed to manage a club of this size long-term. Big decisions coming this summer.

@cork_reds One of my favourites. Ruud was an absolutely brilliant striker and a lethal finisher. It was such a shame he suffered that injury, especially when we saw how brilliant he was after signing the following year. Disappointing how it all ended before his move to Real. Legend IMO!

@writtenoff_mufc Iraola is already proven in the Premier League.. We should absolutely be in for him. He’s far more experienced than Carrick, and if Carrick is even in the conversation, Iraola should be the clear No.1 choice IMO.

At the very least I would hope United would speak to Iraola. Very impressive work at Bournemouth. The lack of a big job on his CV would be a concern but worth having a conversation with.

@ManUnitedZone Iraola should be no1 signing and appointment come the end of the season. No way should Carrick get the manager job, he hasn't done enough to prove himself, way off it.

@lauriewhitwell Based on recent performances and especially 1st half against Leeds and the performance and result against Newcastle Carrick should not be considered for the managers job, particularly when someone like Iraola is available on a free.

Boos round Old Trafford at half-time as United trail Leeds 2-0. Could be a wider margin. Leeds have bullied United. Some openings to reduce the deficit but United are uncertain in final third. Changes needed. #MUFC

Bournemouth not losing a Premier League game (played 11) since selling Semenyo is pretty remarkable. Been a season for them characterised by Iraola’s ability to adjust when losing key players, either to sales or injuries.
