Water Compass is thrilled to announce a momentous transition in the leadership of our organization. Our founder and Executive Director to-date, Ned Morgan, is stepping down and we welcome our new Executive Director, Rashidah Kulanyi. Welcome Rashidah!

In June, @Water_Compass launched a solar-powered water system in Mpumudde, Uganda. It serves 3,000 people and 2 schools. The project was co-funded with the Local Government, yet another example of our public-private partnership approach. #cleanwater #solarpower #partnership #SDG6

In 2023, Water Compass provided over 10 million liters of clean water to rural communities in Uganda via our solar-powered piped water systems. We look forward to building more water systems and supplying thousands more people with accessible and affordable clean water in 2024.

Exciting news! Water Compass has launched a new solar-powered water supply system in the community of Seeta Mugogo in Uganda. The system serves 1,200 people and provides a dedicated connection to the local primary school. We’re thrilled to have the new system up and running!

Today we had a team out to the site of our next solar-powered water system to develop the borehole we'll be using. We use compressed air to open up cracks in the geology to help water flow more easily into the borehole. We're starting construction later this week, so stay tuned!

Introducing our newest solar-powered water system! It's located in Butayunja, Uganda and serves approximately 1,200 people. We’ve built 3 public tap stands, and installed private connections for 3 schools and 3 households. Here's to #sustainable access to #cleanwater!

Yesterday, our team began installing private connections fitted with prepaid water meters in homes and schools as part of our newest solar-powered water supply system in Uganda. We're proud to integrate this tech and provide the highest level of service delivery for water supply.

As an implementing partner of the @USAIDUganda Sanitation for Health Activity for nearly 3 years, @Water_Compass was honored to attend the national closeout event yesterday. Together, we greatly improved the standard of sanitation and hygiene in 280 communities and 20 schools.

LAUNCHED! Our solar-powered water system in the trading center of Mirambi, Uganda is now operational! The system was generously funded by @AquaforAll, and built in coordination with the Practica Foundation to trial their mechanical pre-payment system, the TokenTap. #cleanwater

It's been a very busy week for our team in Uganda. We're building two solar-powered water systems concurrently so we can have them working before the dry season starts in June. We should be launching one system next week and the other before the end of May. Stay tuned!
