Happening Now. Joint Committee on Works inspect the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Enugu-Port Harcourt Dual carriageway section II: Umuaiha tower- Aba township rail/road crossing in Abia State. Led by Senator Osita Ngwu and Chair @akinalabi

After we left the Coastal Road, we went to Marina to check out the progress of work on the reconstruction of the outer Marina Shoreline. The contractors are doing a good job and are on schedule.

Current Location: SAGAMU, OGUN STATE… I’m impressed with the level of work going on towards Sagamu off Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Kudos to the minister, Sen David Umahi.

Currently on the Coastal Road with members of the @WorksCommittee to inspect the recently completed Shoreline Protection works around Chainage 14. As part of our oversight duties, the committee is committed to ensuring the quality of projects undertaken by the Ministry of Works.

Today, the Committee on Works, led by @akinalabi inspected key projects in Lagos: The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Independence Bridge repairs, Third Mainland Bridge rehab, Shoreline Protection at Marina & CCTV Control Room. Progress is commendable!

This was a year ago. In a few weeks, I will be leading the members of the @WorksCommittee on an oversight visit of this legacy project. How many kilometers have really been completed so far? How many kilometers left for the first phase to be completed? What is the (adjusted) timeline looking like? I’m looking forward to the visit.

Yesterday, I led the @WorksCommittee on an inspection of Abuja-Kaduna road. The Minister of Works, Sen Dave Umahi gave update on the termination of the Julius Berger contract and the new plans to march forward.
