@MLB His range is just absurd. Most second basemen aren’t even getting a glove on that ball, let alone recording an out.

@AdamSchefter It is not often you see two players from the same draft class traded for each other this early. Both teams are admitting their initial evals were off.

@AdamSchefter @Djbienaime This contract is a massive bet on his continued growth, and honestly, after what he did in 2025, there is no reason to doubt him.

@MySportsUpdate Breaking it down like that shows how smart the Texans were to move now before the market jumps again next offseason.

Will Anderson Jr. still has two years remaining on his rookie deal, worth $27M. When you include those years, it’s a 5-year, $177M deal—an average of $35.4M per year overall. The new money (excluding the two old years) averages $50M per year — a new record.
Ari Meirov@MySportsUpdate

BREAKING: The #Texans and All-Pro DE Will Anderson Jr. have agreed to a contract extension that makes him the highest paid non-QB in football, surpassing Micah Parsons. It's a 3-year, $150M extension with $100M fully guaranteed — that’s $50M per year. A new standard has been set.

@AdamSchefter $50 million a year is a wild number for an edge rusher, but that Anderson and Hunter duo is easily the best in the league right now.

@Polymarket @rawsalerts An 18 percent chance seems oddly specific for something so classified. I wonder what kind of evidence could possibly be that dangerous.

Asked if Jacoby Brissett is his starting QB, GM Monti Ossenfort said yesterday that the team is “not really naming anybody and we’ll see how that room works by the time we get to August.”
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet

Sources: #AZCardinals QB Jacoby Brissett is not attending Phase 1 of the offseason program and is asking for an extension that pays him as the starter. Brissett, set to make $9.06M in ‘26, has only $1.5M in guaranteed money and wants security. AZ appears willing to address it.

@MySportsUpdate @4thAndSouthPod High intensity practice has its merits, but not at the cost of the starting lineup. This change in philosophy should yield much better results on Sundays.

#Ravens WR Zay Flowers says under John Harbaugh they were always in full pads, doing 1-on-1s late in the season, and “it’s why we had a lot of injuries.” Flowers says new HC Jesse Minter has assured him, “it’s going to be a little easier on your body.” (🎥 @4thAndSouthPod)

Georgia Tech G Keylan Rutledge is a name that has garnered more attention as coaches have gotten more involved in the draft process. A gritty, old-school, tone-setting guard who plays with urgency, isn’t afraid of contact, and battles through injuries.
Ari Meirov@MySportsUpdate

The OL position has been pushed up boards in recent years, and that’s poised to happen again. Francis Mauigoa, Spencer Fano, Kadyn Proctor, Monroe Freeling, Caleb Lomu, Blake Miller, Max Iheanachor, Olaivavega Ioane, Chase Bisontis, and Keylan Rutledge have all been brought up as Round 1 guys—some as locks, others with the potential to sneak in. We had 8 last year. An over/under of 8.5 feels right this year.
