@xbanger404 @EGTVEgal Nwaneri literally only played RW because all of ours were injured, same with skelly at left back when hes naturally a 6/8. Dowman has played wing in under 21s/england and the main squad so why move him when you already have nwaneri there makes no sense

People need to low the Saka #10 gimmick. I think the ultimate goal from now till next month should be to see how to accommodate Saka, Eze and Odegaard in the same XI, Dowman should be an impact sub

@ArtetaEra I mean a 16 year old literally outplayed him..... he rarely takes on his man even though hes like the 2nd/3rd quickest in the league, his decision making is still not good enough. He slows attacks as he tries to body shift so much and then the sheer amount backpasses he does

Basically, Harry Kane. Ollie Watkins, Dominic Solanke, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Danny Welbeck are below Kane’s level. Liam Delap needs to get the upward trajectory of his career back on track again. A “minor issue” benching/resting Kane will always be a major problem for England. FA coaches at St George’s Park debate why there are so few 9s emerging. Focus on 10s and wide attackers in academies, more teams playing only one centre-forward in a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 and cage styles leading to “ballers” not poachers are all reasons discussed. Line-leading skills, back-to-goal expertise, finishing prowess need re-developing. Because Kane is 32 and succession planning is required. #ENG

Who should Arsenal target this summer for the left wing?

@everymovieplug 6.5/10 - if you watched the series i dont get how duke turned peaky blinders into a mob again and turn bad (also dont like the recasting) the story would make more sense with finn involved rather then duke. The ending with tommy made sense but i think the film just wasnt needed

@JamesB_afc I feel sakas fall off is down to 2 massive changes, 1 his injury, hes lost half a yard of pace so he doesnt want to run at his man enough. The other is timber over white, timber doesnt help him enough in attack. He passes and then runs centrally rather then giving him an option

Had to edit the tweet to say ‘false 9’ cos people took the ‘striker’ word too literally which is fair I guess I want him, and all our forwards, to be released into more fluid roles But again, it won’t come this season and that’s fine I’m also NOT writing him off as a RW at all

A lot of Saka discourse and I get it I do feel though that certain things out of his control have hindered him: - overplayed too young - a couple injuries - lack of a good fluid attacking system around him - lack of threat around the rest of the attack - burdened with too much responsibility (mainly defensively) - the league becoming extremely difficult for attackers to thrive I can acknowledge all this and still say he has to do more. He’s great with both feet, he’s ridiculously strong, and he’s a really intelligent footballer. I’d have backed him to find more solutions than this I think it’s time he evolves into a false 9, more central player. He’s a good finisher, good in the air, drops deep and can make runs, he’s got all the ingredients. Arsenal are covered on the right with Dowman, Nwaneri & Madueke Gimme an Enrique-style front three next season, cos I know for sure it’s not coming in the next two months
