Back in the 90s, a mom couldn't afford real foil Pokémon cards for her son.
So she made her own handmade foil cards just to make him smile. ❤️
Today, that boy is 37 years old.
He can afford any Pokémon card he wants and open thousands of packs.
But there's one thing money can never buy back, his mom and her memories.
He still keeps those handmade cards in his old binder.
Not because they're rare or expensive, but because they're a piece of her love.
Sometimes the most valuable cards aren't worth thousands of dollars.
They're the ones that remind us of the people we miss the most. 🥹💔

This is one of the first two shiny Pokémon ever printed on a card, alongside Shining Magikarp in the same Neo Revelation set in 2001. Ken Sugimori drew both, and they kicked off the entire alternate-color chase that runs straight through to modern shinies. Your top 3 take is defensible just on that; it is the card that started a 25-year mechanic. What is the rest of your top 3?
