1/ For decades and decades, we have been trying to talk to computers in their mother language of bits. We have got quite good at it. We taught computers to reason. It has gotten so good that computers are now trying to in reverse talk to us in our language. (cont-d)

Since TBPN from now on is OpenAI PR team there might be a painful need for a new TBPN. One with freedom like before
John Coogan@johncoogan

TBPN has been acquired by OpenAI! The show is staying the same and we’ll continue to go live at 11am pacific every weekday. This is a full circle moment for me as I’ve worked with @sama for well over a decade. He funded my first company in 2013. Then helped us fix a serious logjam during a critical funding round a few years later. When I took my second company through YC, he was president at the time, and then when I joined Founders Fund, the first deal I saw in motion was the post-ChatGPT round in late 2022. And as we started growing TBPN last year, he was the very first lab lead to join the show. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of TBPN until now. The last year has been the most fun and rewarding part of my career and we’re excited to have more resources than ever going forward.

When @karpathy built MenuGen (karpathy.bearblog.dev/vibe-coding-me…), he said: "Vibe coding menugen was exhilarating and fun escapade as a local demo, but a bit of a painful slog as a deployed, real app. Building a modern app is a bit like assembling IKEA future. There are all these services, docs, API keys, configurations, dev/prod deployments, team and security features, rate limits, pricing tiers." We've all run into this issue when building with agents: you have to scurry off to establish accounts, clicking things in the browser as though it's the antediluvian days of 2023, in order to unblock its superintelligent progress. So we decided to build Stripe Projects to help agents instantly provision services from the CLI. For example, simply run: $ stripe projects add posthog/analytics And it'll create a PostHog account, get an API key, and (as needed) set up billing. Projects is launching today as a developer preview. You can register for access (we'll make it available to everyone soon) at projects.dev. We're also rolling out support for many new providers over the coming weeks. (Get in touch if you'd like to make your service available.) projects.dev

I think I’m juust scratching the surface of space of creativity it can allow me to cover, but I already feel it. The magic. Probably fact that I run it on VPS is somewhat limiting but thought that’s a perfect place to start. No fear of it going rogue and full acceptance of fails

After much hesitation and back and forth I finally tried @openclaw Man, the hype is real. You feel the magic only when you try it. One for the first interactions: - can u listen to voice messages? - no - build support for it - sure *builds support on @GroqInc whisper

Memory management is a bottleneck to everything agentic now. We need to crack this. There should some representation of data that sits on top of raw data sources. It should allow for both quick reads and quick writes. Will see if some variation of context graph does it

For some reason ur openclaw keeping accountable hits much different than traditional productivity apps. Maybe it’s because it’s very personalised, or that it can create its own systems, or that it’s kind of more humane or that it has so much more context Or maybe all together

on something that already works. So it seems what a real software vendor is isn’t only a binary it runs but something more. Maybe proof of time. Maybe a set of people that have a singular goal that can afford themselves solving problems in this single space

In the world where cost of software development is racing to zero can a lab operate fully on its in-house software? At the moment from what I can tell that’s impossible. Simple reason is there is so many goals these companies pursue that they would not spend money/time

Anthropic and OpenAI are killing the SaaS companies, but can they build working SaaS for themselves. Can Anthropic and OpenAI be fully self sufficient? That’s the only real litmus test for an AGI (sorry for a slur)

Great vibes at @SierraPlatform London office Sierra is building an AI concierge layer for any business in any industry. It looks like hyper personalised high quality voice agent today. Might look like an active agent to agent negotiator tomorrow
