I didnโt say the past was the same or better. I *am* saying that wool is an ideal cold weather fabric and wearing linen underneath keeps it from itching. I am also saying that people in the past would probably think our clothing is kind of strange too.

I remember meeting a European guy who was thru hiking the AT from north to south, and like a polish family visiting doing a day hike. Both on the same summit. Then I got back to my hotel, had a decent meal, and saw Thursday. Was in bed and showered by 10:30. Best day of my life?
