When the prison break was happening weekly during CSM Part 2 and I assumed we’d get way more action, I thought it would’ve been really fun for Asa to encounter an imprisoned Reze and have her own lil arc with her Asa under the impression that Reze’s just a normal girl who got locked up, Reze leans into it for her own freedom, Asa feels like she’s finally making a new friend after the whole Yuko debacle, etc. Then hijinks ensue when Asa finds out Reze’s actually the Bomb Devil after homegirl lets loose in the devil facility. The betrayal stemming from Asa not wanting to kill anyone while Reze’s doing whatever it takes to escape. Eventually Reze’s taken aback when she finds out Denji’s being held captive but remembering what happened last time she went back for Denji and having confidence in Asa to save him, she ultimately decides to run away while she has the chance instead of reuniting with him. Keep the lingering curse going while giving fans some closure on Reze’s character Asa’s left in a position where she’s confused, feeling guilty she unleashed a ticking time bomb but also relieved Reze isn’t imprisoned anymore. She’s left questioning what was and wasn’t real during her time with Reze, like Denji was. Would’ve been peak
