The sidequests in XVI are pretty cool because they either give you insight on an upcoming major story beat or they continue and conclude topics from main story beats. The back and forth in connection between main and side quests is genius.

@AcctPogo @Rawameriwani @PandaKingEX Yessssss! I love the Rebirth side quests, especially as they relate to Cloud’s bond with each character and tie in with the affection system and synergy and we get to know each character deeply while exploring the world building

@_Pikahiiri_ Yeah he was one of my favorite additions too. He’s hilarious and has a colorful and chaotic personality.
I think one of the infantrymen in the building recognized Cloud instead which was interesting.

I also really liked that noone in SOLDIER recognised Cloud.

@PandaKingEX I figure by nature of it being an RPG made by Japanese it is also a JRPG lol it’s the same way action JRPGs can also simply be ARPGs. It just sounds like semantics at that point

one thing i’ve noticed from this getting so much attention, is that the majority of the fandom is super supportive abt someone new getting into the games, but there’s always that little few that are pissy a NEW PLAYER is starting with the more modern games 😭

@PandaKingEX FFX is near perfect for me. If it had a playable airship and more exploration, at least open zones, then it’d be perfect. I think most people are referring to other things about the game when they say that like the story, characters and combat etc
