Last week we started our 'Friday Nite Five' event series that will continue through the golf season with the simple goal of introducing more golfers to the joy of walking through a casual no stakes round on the South Five. When we purchased the course five years ago, we had virtually no walking play and more often we were having to gently explain why each golfer did not need their own cart. What we have seen since has been an explosion of people interested in a form of golf that for most was foreign. It just simply wasn't what they did. While a majority of our play is and will remain cart usage, showing people a form of golf that we love has been a very rewarding experience and we're thrilled to grow the series every week.
