@xu545302 True. It’s much much harder to ship a robot product than to make a demo video. Customers love the idea of robots and will sign MOUs for big orders but get bogged down deploying them.

Ah yeah I agree with that. IMO the only ethical way to do client side scanning (which there are good reasons to do, eg. yeah I think the world would be better if people got a notification when AI detects that they were about to get scammed through call or text chat) is locally running AI that the person themselves can choose from one of many options maintained by different groups (or turn off entirely). So no need for fancy cryptography at all.

Good point. While this decryption process can be made distributed, it is important to understand that the distributed FHE decryption is not scalable, especially for a verifiable decryption process. Going for decentralization beyond 20 nodes will be a challenge. MPC such as Velox (eprint.iacr.org/2025/1630) can scale much better.
