LLMs will eventually find a way to use compilers if they are instructed to build good or optimized code.

I tested this approach myself and what I found was that generating code at the machine language level was very token expensive. 1M context LLM is still impossible to handle this appraoch correctly. Even fully autonomous Agents would still need to use compilers somehow.

Elon Musk thinks coding dies this year. Not evolves. Dies. By December, AI won’t need programming languages. It generates machine code directly. Binary optimized beyond anything human logic could produce. No translation. No compilation. Just pure execution. Musk: “You don’t even bother doing coding.” Code was never the point. It was friction. A tax we paid because machines didn’t speak human. AI just learned fluent human. The tax is gone. Now plug that into Neuralink. No syntax. No keyboard. No screen. Musk: “Imagination-to-software.” Thought becomes executable. You imagine an outcome, the system architects and compiles it into reality instantly. We’re not automating programming. We’re erasing it from existence. The entire profession collapses into a thought. Decades of training reduced to irrelevance. The gap between idea and instantiation hits zero. You don’t build anymore. You imagine, and it materializes. Not incremental progress. Total phase shift. The way humans have created things for ten thousand years just became obsolete. Welcome to a world where the limiting factor isn’t skill, resources, or time. It’s whether you can picture what you want clearly enough for a machine to birth it into existence.

@AnthropicAI my Claude Code session in the web hung after it said Enter Plan Mode. Press the stop button didn't stop it. I'm looking for help.

I'm working on a post about imperative management and automation tools. First I thought it would be useful to discuss how implementations of Infrastructure as Code tools differ from imperative user interface surfaces. @bgrant0607/how-infrastructure-as-code-tool-implementations-differ-from-imperative-tools-31607c3ed37b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@bgrant0607/ho… #infrastructureascode

The purpose of IaC depends on the use case, but I claim that the primary capability of IaC is the generation of multiple distinct configurations, variants, from the same IaC source code. @bgrant0607/variant-generation-is-the-primary-capability-of-infrastructure-as-code-773e6b404b49" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@bgrant0607/va… Do you agree? #infrastructureascode #gitops

I identified twelve anti-factors that make Infrastructure as Code suboptimal. Do any of these anti-factors of IaC resonate with you? Have you encountered challenges I don't discuss? Hi @reflectorbital I want the opposite. Summers in Thailand are extremely hot, and we need a solution to create a constant shaded area, shielding it from sunlight at all times. Can you also do that?

I've been writing about #infrastructureascode. What about Infrastructure as Data? What does that mean? What systems have been described that way? Does it make sense? Well, maybe not, at least not how I've seen the term typically used.
