Watched the new The Boys episode, and I’m confused as to why Marie is not already heavily involved in what’s happening? Considering Gen V S2 clearly set her up to be the only person able to kill Homelander

Homelander knows that Hughie has people who are loyal to him without fear of him. Homelander is unwilling to give up control and leave loyalty to chance, which means he can never achieve the kind of relationships Hughie has. this makes him intriguing and desirable to Homelander
