Sen. Alex Padilla: "Voter ID in California could keep eligible people from voting. If you forgot your ID or you forgot to renew it the week before — now, all of a sudden, it’s expired, and you’re not allowed to vote."
Thoughts?
Yes, my house is still full of boxes from our move. I’m still here putting up pics though. For those that say I’m AI, I don’t think it’s this good. 🤣🤣🤣
@GigglingGanon@Rob1776US Well, with 180 days served in jail, she was not a judge to anybody for six months. Wow that’s a pretty stiff sentence for a first time offender. She must’ve been a ROYAL B…
Ohio County judge gets arrested but expects special treatment.
This is the wild story of Portage County Judge Rebecca Doherty, whose OVI arrest became a viral lesson in how not to handle a police encounter.
After crashing her SUV into a ditch on a snowy night in Brimfield Township, Ohio, the "impartial" judge immediately tried to play the "who you know" card. From the jump, her behavior was anything but professional:
Almost immediately, she identified herself by her title, clearly hoping her status as a Common Pleas Judge would end the investigation right there. It does not stop there as she continues to name drop in her booking.
She was uncooperative during field sobriety tests and flat-out refused a breathalyzer.
Perhaps the most jarring part of the booking was when she asked for her phone, only for the officer to inform her it was currently sitting in a puddle of vomit inside her vehicle.
Throughout the process, she repeatedly demanded that officers "Call Larry," referring to a local county sheriff's office friend, appearing to expect a workaround to the standard booking procedure.
Because she was a sitting judge, a visiting judge was brought in to handle the sentencing to ensure there was no bias.
She was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended.
She served 3 days in a driver intervention program, paid a $375 fine, and had her driver’s license suspended for one year.
Despite the public outcry and the viral footage showing her in a less-than-judicial state, Doherty eventually returned to the bench to finish her term after issuing a public apology.
Does a "Judge" title mean you should get a pass, or should they be held to a higher standard?
@dijoni My first question is, did baby daddy pay his child support?
This man has every right to feel this way, and now see how long the baby daddy stays around when the mom and daughter want him to pay for an apartment ( why does a 17 year old still in school have their own apartment) .
I do not know if this is a sketch. A stepfather who raised a stepdaughter for 17 years and then out of all of the sudden the real father decide to show up and the mama sided with her daughter to take her daddy to the prom.. but the stepdaddy have to pay for everything. I have seen a few few cases like this.. I had a friend of mine who experienced similar. Was he wrong?.
I am literally shaking. Some teenager threw a rock off an overpass and did this to my truck. I caught him, and his dad had the nerve to say, "He’s just a kid being a kid, I’ll give you $50 for the 'inconvenience'." $50?? This is a specialized windshield with sensors! He told me I was "ruining a child’s future" by calling the police. I feel like he’s raising a criminal and expects me to pay for it. Do I press full charges?
