For a long time, I’ve watched Africa embrace crypto but only a few truly understand the innovations behind it and how it can reshape our economy. I believe Africa’s next big wave isn’t hype it’s ownership. And that’s why I started The On-chained. 🧵 Here’s the “why” behind it.

Before you put your first ₦75,000 into a Lofty AI property, read this thread from @theonchained. Step by step evaluation guide. Every document that matters. The red flags to watch for. This is how you invest with your eyes open.
The On-chained@theonchained

Most African investors pick a Lofty AI property based on one number. The yield estimate. That is not enough. Here is the step by step process for evaluating a Lofty AI listing before you invest your first ₦75,000 🧵

If you are an African investor trying to understand the difference between a platform that works and one that collapsed, this thread from @theonchained breaks it down clearly. RealT vs Lofty AI. What the collapse taught us.
The On-chained@theonchained

Two platforms. Same entry point. Very different outcomes. RealT and Lofty AI both offered African investors fractional real estate from $50. What happened next is the most important due diligence lesson in tokenized real estate right now 🧵

@theonchained Built @theonchained specifically so African investors have a place to get this kind of breakdown before they put money in. Not hype. Not narratives. Just the full picture.

@theonchained Been building @theonchained to answer exactly this question. Where do African investors actually start with tokenized real estate? This thread is the clearest answer we have put together so far.

Most tokenized real estate platforms promise access. Lofty AI actually delivers it. Here is everything African investors need to know before putting their first ₦75,000 into Lofty AI 🧵

@emprezito1 Exactly. And one thing I’ve noticed is that NoizLabs currently reads more like a cool feature than a full-fledged asset class. A sharper narrative could make it immediately clear who benefits most and why it matters at scale.

@theonchained This is the clearest breakdown of how tokenized real estate actually works. If you have been confused about the process, start here.

The reason most Africans never owned property was never ambition. It was the process. Too slow. Too expensive. Too exclusive. Tokenization changes every step of that process. Here is how it works.

If you are an African investor earning or planning to earn rent from US tokenized real estate, this thread from @theonchained is an essential read before your first payout arrives. The tax obligations are real. You should know what to expect.
The On-chained@theonchained

Do you pay tax on rental income from a US tokenized property if you live in Nigeria? The answer is yes. In both countries. Here is exactly what that means and what you need to do about it 🧵

@theonchained Tweet 5 is the one most African investors are not prepared for. The US withholding 30% and Nigeria taxing what remains. Same income taxed twice with no automatic relief. Understanding this before you invest changes how you plan your portfolio entirely.

@theonchained The part that stood out most to me is Tweet 8. Risk management after RealT means something different now. Verifying the platform before the yield is not optional anymore. That shift in thinking is what separates informed African investors from everyone else.

The RealT collapse changed how we think about platform selection. Here is how we would build a N150,000 tokenized real estate portfolio responsibly today. Full breakdown 🧵

@theonchained The people still debating whether this is real are the same ones who will be surprised in 2028. The infrastructure does not wait for consensus.

2020: Blockchain will change everything. 2022: Crypto is dead. 2024: RWA tokenization is the future. 2026: Ordinary Africans earning rent from US properties using blockchain. The infrastructure already works. Most people just haven’t noticed yet.

@theonchained Mistake 4 is the one that gets people the most. A platform tokenizing new properties every week while everything around it is collapsing looks like confidence. It is not, it is actually the opposite. Activity is not the same as health. RealT proved that.

@theonchained The first payout is never about the money. It is about what the money proves. That you can do it. That the system works. Everything after that is just scaling.

The rent from your first N75,000 investment will not change your life. But the moment it hits your wallet, something shifts. You stop being someone who watches others build wealth through real estate. You become someone who does.
