@RapperPandit Yes you will be called superstitious if you don’t cite the ancient text that shows relevance. The ancient knowledge can’t be “enforced”; instead it has to be published, translated, cross referenced, etc.

🚨Don’t say Ksheer Sagar (क्षीर सागर)- The Cosmic Ocean , otherwise we will be called Superstitious !
Amazing Physics@amazing_physics

A cosmic ocean exists where no human has ever sailed. Astronomers have detected a water cloud 12 billion light-years away, holding an astonishing 140 trillion times the water in all of Earth’s oceans combined. It is a discovery so vast that it stretches the imagination, challenging our sense of scale and reminding us how tiny our world truly is. This cloud, seen in the early universe, hints at a time when galaxies were forming and black holes were already shaping their surroundings. The sheer quantity of water suggests that the ingredients for life are not confined to our solar system — they exist in unimaginable abundance, waiting silently in the cosmos. Scientists are stunned not only by the scale but also by the implications. Water, essential to life as we know it, appears in massive quantities even in the distant past, meaning that the universe may have been capable of supporting habitable conditions far earlier than previously imagined. Every observation opens a new window into the chemistry of the early cosmos. Looking at such a cloud evokes both wonder and humility. The enormity of space, the age of light reaching our telescopes, and the invisible forces shaping galaxies remind us that discovery often comes cloaked in awe. This water cloud is a monument to the mysteries that remain, whispering of worlds and possibilities we have yet to encounter. And so we are left with a quiet reflection: billions of light-years away, water flows in quantities beyond comprehension, reminding us that the universe is filled with secrets that continue to stretch the limits of human curiosity.

@gurumilespoints Not specific to India, it's a sign of an oppressed mindset that's trying to rebel in all the wrong places.

Dear Indian parents, please teach some basic civic sense to your kids instead of hiding under the guise of, “He’s just 6 years old.” Story time: On my flight from Phu Quoc to Da Nang, two kids were seated behind me. They were super noisy and constantly kicking my seat. I politely asked them to stop three times. The fourth time, I had to get up, turn around, and call out their parents. Instead of being remorseful, they started defending their kids. Mom: “They are on their third flight.” “They are just 6 years old.” I replied, “How is that my problem? You need to teach them how to behave in shared public spaces or atleast take care when you can clearly see what they are doing.” Dad: “If you have any issues, please talk to the cabin crew. Take business class next time.” Mom: “When you have kids, you will understand.” Actions like these are part of why Indians often face racism abroad. It’s not all Indians but it only takes a few to damage our reputation and become a global embarrassment.

@IndianGems_ There's probably less than 1% in the Indian government that actually tries to improve the lives of the general public. Those few run this country; the rest are busy looting, even when sleeping.

Tokyo is more populated and congested than Mumbai. In Tokyo, it is mandatory to provide balcony staircases in high-rise buildings, which could save lives during emergencies. In India, our government doesn't think to this level, just tell me why?

last week might have been the moment El Salvador became Dubai 2.0, and nobody is talking about it: > safest country in the western hemisphere for 4 years in a row > no middle east war or fallout risk > 0% tax on all foreign-sourced income > 0% property tax > dollarized economy > bitcoin is legal tender, 0% cap gains tax > inflation under 1% > 90-min direct flights to Miami for <$200 > 4-6 hour flights to SFO and NYC for <$400 > world-class surfing > democratically elected president w/ 85%+ approval rating. > first country to give open-source AI developers full legal protection > first country with a sovereign order of NVIDIA's B300 chips > @elonmusk grok AI in 1M+ public school kids' hands > democratically elected president with a 85%+ approval rating > world-class surfing > locally grown coffee, tropical fruit, grass-fed beef - not a supermarket import economy > huge variety of climates - volcanoes, mountains, lakes, and beaches — 12c in the highlands, 34c on the coast > strong christian culture and deep sense of faith > same timezone as US East Coast > country investing massively in public education > beautiful colonial architecture across country

Sacks of burnt currency notes were found at the residence of a Delhi High Court judge. It has been a year. The judge is still serving as a High Court judge in Allahabad. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court imposed a lifetime ban on the academics who wrote a chapter on corruption in the Indian judiciary. “The clapping should not stop.”👏👏

Judicial corruption can be of several kinds. Judges taking bribe is more direct. But then we have judges who abused adjudicatory or administrative powers for whatever reasons. That's also judicial corruption. NCERT proceeding is a dark day for the court! Enabled by bar! Shameful

DRACONIAN. The SC has ZERO authority to do anything of this sort. The content of the textbook itself was mundane and had no imputations as such, if the judges are this drunk on power, they've left politicians far behind. Collegium at its best!

The Supreme Court has directed the Centre and all State governments along with all institutions receiving public funds, either partially or fully, to dissociate the chairperson of NCERT social science curriculum, Professor Michel Denino and his two other associate members who were behind the Sub-chapter in part 2 of the Class 8 NCERT Social Science textbook 'Corruption in the Judiciary', in any manner for the purpose of preparation of curriculum or finalisation of text book for the next generation. A bench led by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant also directed all of the aforesaid authorities to disassociate Professor Denino, along with his team, from the preparation and inclusion of the Chapter, from rendering any service in any institution, which would mean payment to them from public funds. “At the outset we have no reason to doubt that professor Michel Danino along with Ms Diwakar and Mr Alok Prasanna Kumar either does not reasonable knowledge about Indian judiciary or they deliberately knowingly misrepresented the facts in order to project a negative image of Indian judiciary before students of Class 8 who are at an impressionable age. There is no reason as to why such persons be associated in any manner with preparation of curriculum or finalisation of text book for the next generation. We direct union, all states, all institutions recieving state funds, to disassociate them from rendering any service which would mean payment to them from public funds”, the Court noted.

Unfortunate, undemocratic and a disproportionate step, in my opinion. I would call this as am example of Judicial overreach into education and policy making. If the Hon'ble Supreme Court found some chapter/text inappropriate, it could have revised it or removed it (at max) but the Court shouldn't ostracize academicians like this. This will only have a chilling effect on future academicians. The only thing such an action has done is - discouraged critical inquiry and attacked academic freedom. Judiciary is subject to criticism in a democratic setup. Period.
