"i tried." is all he could push out, resorting to resting against the seat to simply heave breaths once he got comfortable. damn. he kinda smelt, still. missed some dirt on his nose, too. "uh. alpha beta ki. need address?"

the door is swung open, and a backpack is being thrown into the backseat. eager beaver, huh? "sorry to keep you. came as fast as i could." evident by a complete lack of breath.
and barely six minutes later, the boy is slamming against the side of his door from a full-sprint. mind the jiggle jiggle of the door handle, he's impatient. 'least he changed into clean sweatpants and wifebeater.
