Something’s changed in my phone’s autocorrect to make it weird with capitalisation for names. It just capitalised ‘carte Blanche’, constantly capitalises ‘Chuck’ as in to throw, and has for a while insisted on all caps for my daughter’s name, ADA. (Not in my Contacts.) Annoying!

@bubbaprog we need a good generic term for velcro. Apple sells watch bands with "hook-and-loop fasteners" and they must have to explain "it's velcro" 10,000 times a day.

I don’t think any of those sound modern? Anything “-aid” is very 80s. “Dumpster” is late 90s-early 2000s. “Velcro” is painfully old sounding like “Dacron” or something

“Kleenex” has been a trademark for almost 100 years and a genericized one for 75 but it looks like a modern brand name, how did they do it
