@elementcolored skal. there was literally not a single moment where i was bored, or thought 'we didn't really need this' even now that i've finished the main game and i'm just exploring a bit i still keep finding new interesting things about the story

@exploitdepieds / e x a c t l y, the side stories were so good because they bring more depth to the secondary characters. it's what we all needed to get to know them more, other than the dessendre family.

@elementcolored skal. it's honestly so clever, and exactly what the gaming industry needed like, i love games, but a lot of them are quantity over quality, with a generic story and a needless amount of add-ons to the map with this one, even the add-ons have a personal story to it

@exploitdepieds / yup! Basically all family members cover the 5 stages of grief if we think about it.

@elementcolored skal. my thoughts exactly when you really look at it this game doesn't have villains, it has people who are so lost in grieve they don't know how to get out of it, so they try to pretend it's the same as it was before which, without their meaning to, hurts the people around them

@exploitdepieds / yeah! It's sooooo good exploring those themes sometimes because /everyone/ deals with grief differently. So, no one is a villain. They're just a grieving family.

@elementcolored ++it is stuff i understand so well, especially the masked axon, as someone who has spent years masking) i'm almost scared to do that ending because maelle's ending was already sad enough 🤧🤧 but i gotta 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

@elementcolored skal. that's exactly what i love about it too, there's some parts where they're discussing topics that have somehow become almost taboo to talk about, and this game shows that it's alright to feel those things (a lot of time i caught myself tearing up & nodding because a lot of++

@elementcolored skal. i literally love every single one of these characters, there's not a single one i even mildly dislike i can't wait to replay it after i visited all the areas i haven't visited yet

@elementcolored skal. i'm getting through some of the camp dialogue that i forgot to do before i finished the game and sciel learning to overcome her fear of water made me love her even more than i thought possible she's so amazing 😌
