most API integrations break after the first request webhooks, retries, async flows, staging drift… so we built an MCP server for FetchSandbox. Cursor/Claude can now explore + run real API workflows directly from your IDE. raw demo below ↓ this flow: - explores Stripe APIs - runs the workflow - chains IDs across steps - triggers webhooks - verifies the integration end-to-end without setting up local infra or fake mocks. looking for early feedback from engineers building with APIs

Most of them move into architecture, staff/principal roles, or start their own thing once they have the experience to back it up. The ones who disappear either burned out chasing trends instead of building depth, or got pushed out by companies optimizing for cheap labor. The secret is that tech changes fast but fundamentals never do, and engineers who invested in those tend to outlast everyone.

Why do we rarely see software engineers who are 45+? Do they move into management? Switch careers ? Start businesses ? Or does the industry quietly replace them with younger devs who can work longer hours for less ? Tech changes so fast that sometimes it feels impossible to survive long term in this field Would love honest answers from experienced people in the industry

@suni_code until you spend 3 days debugging why a webhook fired twice, retries created duplicate state, staging drifted from prod, and the partner support team replies 2 days later 😭 the hard part starts after the first 200 OK

someone posted about struggling with founder outreach, getting ignored. instead of firing back something growth-hacky, i used rawreply to write something that actually acknowledged what he was going through. he replied immediately. opened up more. that's kind of why i'm building this. not to generate "viral replies" but just... to help people sound like themselves online. small moment but it landed. rawreply.com

Setup: fetchsandbox.com/install Brownfield prompt that kicked this off: 👇👇👇 add slack notifications for failed payments — plug into existing stripe + resend webhook handlers FetchSandbox proves the upstream Stripe event your Slack handler will see — not Slack itself.

Recorded a raw ~6.5 min IDE session: add Slack alerts for failed payments in a repo that already had Stripe + Clerk + Resend. Not a highlight reel — full guided MCP run: → introspect brownfield repo → map existing webhook handlers (where failures only print today) → route to Stripe upstream (no Slack spec) → prove sandbox workflow → honest limit: payment_failed needs stripe listen/trigger, not just curated happy path youtu.be/AB36LXwfoTQ

@xoaanya I used rawreply to reply to a post on Reddit and it helped me and also OP… the emotional tone actually helped them as well … that’s the beauty of writing in emotional and human style

most people using ai for their posts sound like this: "Absolutely! Here are 5 actionable insights to leverage your professional journey..." nobody talks like that. rawreply fixes this — same prompt, but the output actually sounds human gave it "write a letter to a friend who got laid off at meta" chatgpt gave me a linkedin post. rawreply gave me something i'd actually send. if you're using ai to write anything — try this before you hit post

Solid progress man!!!, and that sidebar fix is always more satisfying than it should be. What's your current stack for Taskly? Asking because we're building FetchSandbox, an MCP that makes API integrations way smoother right from your agentic IDE. We're also giving a free Claude/Cursor subscription to devs who try it out and share feedback. Would love to know how you're handling any API work in the project.

Day 8/100 of building in public. Taskly — full day of mobile fixes: → Sidebar closes on navigation (embarrassing it didn't) → Tap task rows to open details → Compact rows + status pills for small screens → Smooth animations throughout → Keyboard shortcut for new task dialog Build for the smallest screen first. Everything else scales up. Desktop-first just creates debt.

@meyharsharma @xoaanya Thanks, Meyhar... the secret is mostly training on large chunks of real human writing to understand how people actually sound, then using that to tune the output away from the obvious chatbot habits.

@xoaanya This looks interesting, can you tell more about how you ensure it captures the right tone and emotion for the "human" written message...
