@fhap13 Comes out of What We Owe the Future (2022). Challenge is these are ethicists & they speak from that epistemology: game out a logical argument. Are they convinced by their own argument? Many times yes but it's hard to tell. It has power bc it has pedigree

this is ethics--the logical argument. The problem is when the philosopher believes it. And their belief has power.
