It's a good month to start things anew. That's why it's called AUG.

@ArsonAtDennys I remember that episode! It was always weird to hear the FB ads because they explicitally mention things like Sec 230 that comes up in the podcast not infrequently. Really feels like an attempt to take hold of the narrative.

Have been digging up some older reporting and am I the only one to do a spit-take when they announce half way through "This podcast is supported by Facebook" It's still informative but this comes off particularly poorly since the podcast hosts are fairly sympathetic towards FB.

Grading exams. For my Tissue Engineering class I decided to give students the option to create course-related memes for an extra credit assignment (20/10 recommend - will def share later). But then one student created a Tinder profile for Pluripotent Stem Cells and I am 💀

Unlike Bash, Ash’s ls -l does not give timestamps, just size, so first I had to rescue my little Jupyter Notebook where I try to write down what I accomplished each day. Based on my ramblings there, I can guess which files I might have worked on since my backups started failing.

But! It does have a mount command, so I mounted partition 5 to /home where it belongs and I can see my files!! Plugged in a USB stick and mounted that too, I feel like a fire fighter running into a burning building at this point.

@irfan8_muhammad @petr_sulc @lrovigatti Does the design in Cadnano have very long stretched bonds that cross the whole structure? We recommend using #oxView to do rigid body relaxation for cadnano structures to organize them in a roughly physically realistic organization.
