@0xRarest Dems passed a law in MN in 2023 to basically stop the depreciation each year on cars so you pay skyhigh tab fees for the first 7 or so years. And if you bought a car from someone for say 4k cash, the DVS can say the market value is 5k, so you have to pay taxes on 5k.

Bought my first car outright last year. No loan. Felt like a king. Took it to the DMV for registration renewal yesterday. They hit me with $1,240 in “fees and assessments.” I asked what the hell they were for. Lady just shrugged and said “road maintenance and emissions program.” I paid it. Because if I don’t, they take the car I already paid for. Same game as the house. They just let you think you own it.

@DrummerJacob_ @washghost1 in MN, They can only take up the full lane here if they are traveling at the speed of traffic or turning left... otherwise they have to stay as far right as possible so vehicles can pass them safely.

Youre not going to safely pass them on that zig zag section and they know that because they likely ride this route regularly, so theyre using the whole lane to make sure you dont even try which is normal. Then toward the end they move over and give you enough road to go but you cut the video because it wasnt dramatic anymore. You didnt lose any time in your life, and they have every right to use that road and pay taxes on it just like you do.

This guy here is walking us through how he does an estimate to mow and weed eat this yard. Pretty straight forward. He is quoting this house at $75 a week to do the yard, so $300 a month, once a week. But, he says if it rains, even if it rains for weeks and they can’t mow, they are getting paid their $75 and if the customer doesn’t like it, they don’t need that customer. Is that the standard in the industry if you are on a weekly schedule with a lawn care company? Are you paying $75 even if they don’t do your yard?
