@RPDALY76 @AllfreyColby Also Chris Mack has a tenured history in the sport. Not a first time head coach like CAG , Hartline, and Hodgons. Probably best coaching resume USF has gotten in one of the major sports. People forget Mack was coach of the year twice at 2 different schools.

@poitrasstan College coaches bolt all the time as long as they’re either getting more money or going to a better program. It’s hard to envision Hodgson turning down Syracuse or Providence to continue coaching at South Florida but stranger things have happened.

At one point in time, UB basketball chose not to hire Bryan Hodgson because they didn’t believe he was mature enough to be a college head coach. Fast forward seven years and he’s 70-36 in three years as a head coach at Arkansas State and South Florida and just guided USF to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2012 and first conference tournament title since 1990. Hodgson is likely going to have his choice between the Syracuse/Providence jobs or staying in Tampa. He likely wouldn’t have stayed in Buffalo long but what a mistake by UB never giving him a chance back in 2019 and they’re still facing the consequences to this day.

Congratulations to all of the teams that were selected for the NCAA tournament. It is the best tournament on Earth. @FSUHoops will be invited to the party soon enough and we won’t stop working until we get back to dancing every season. I see a lot of teams we would beat right now! Go Noles!!
