@wariopide @velodus But I do agree that I wish they really did sit down with its lore and dive deeper into the lore to get a even more cohesive story with big themes and world building pay offs. I wouldnt say the movies were comeplete tens, but u could argue high 9s if not slightly lower

The Mario Galaxy movie is a result of all the people who watched the first movie and went "Eh, I don't care if it was bad, I had fun with it," because when you give Illumination an inch, they will absolutely try to get away with making an even lazier movie next time.

@TehBludhog @Blazykun Not that it didnt have substance but ur asking for a sonic adventure 2 plot when MOST Mario games arent that deep. Lore wise nothing from the Mario galaxy 1 needed to be in. If the pacing was fast what parts should of they slowed down? + without Fox how would they space travel?

@Blazykun Not to come off as an asshole but maybe you're too easily pleased and your quality standards for what is considered a "good film" don't match ones who wanted something with more substance and better pacing. And I'm sorry, but Fox has no reason to be here.

I'm sorry, but they're completely wrong about the Mario Galaxy movie.
It's actually really good, with a simple but compelling story that provides satisfying arcs, and addresses all of the issues with the first movie

@wariopide @velodus Expanded the Universe with a character that makes sense (Fox) and adding a heavily established character like Yoshi is fan service? Using more in game power ups is fan service? You people are why "Surf Dracula" is a thing, adding things from the game isnt fam service

@velodus Exactly. The second movie tries to be the first movie, using the same "shock values", but it fails due to the constant fanservice thrown at your face. And the base for the sequel seems to be another Mary Sue... completely wasted character slot on Daisy in the post, too.
