We all know about his issues in Chicago, but we thought if he could replicate his work in Lagos for Nigeria, let’s support him. However, he failed -- El-Rufai

@DavidHundeyin D bitter truth is this: many likely NEVER saw d connection. Today we value personal success above any perceived impact on society. Many Africans are not patriotic to country. Ethnic leanings & sentiments prevail but even @ that, it doesn't stop them from choosing self over all.

"The American Embassy called and we responded." And it didn't occur to any of you to question why the US Embassy all of a sudden wants to make friends with Ghanaian social media influencers, YouTubers, and online content creators. Last week, your president delivered a speech where he rightfully singled out the owner of the US government as the instigator of the 1966 coup that took out Kwame Nkrumah. This week, the US Embassy suddenly invites those of you who have the eyes and ears of young Ghanaians to come to Cantonments and shine teeth and drink juice. And you don't see how those 2 events are linked. And you will never see it, because if there is one thing obroni knows very well about obibini, it's that we are the only group of people on planet earth who have been fighting a defensive war for 500 years and still have no idea that we have enemies and we are at war. Sleepwalkers.

The US government is paying for 120 Nigerian journalists and social media influencers from Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Enugu to attend a "training program" where they will be taught that last year's #EndBadGovernanceinNIGERIA protests were caused by "malign influence" (i.e, Russian/Chinese foreign interference), after which they will spend one year pushing out paid propaganda. This is exactly how the US government has historically astroturfed Nigerian and African media with its propaganda, and limited the thinking of Nigerian journalists (because it will never occur to the 120 dummies taking part in this thing that the ACTUAL "malign influence" in Nigeria is the one paying them an allowance and feeding them while pouring "Everything we don't like is a Russian operation" into their soft heads, so that they will fill Nigeria's information space with US propaganda that appears under a black face and a Nigerian name. If they were smart enough to realise that they have just been recruited into a foreign intelligence operation, they wouldn't have applied in the first place. @elonmusk @DOGE I hope you're aware that US taxpayers' money is being spent to fund the exact sort of wasteful foreign interference that you closed down USAID for?

@KunleAdebajo Summarily, while there is the propensity for funder biases to overpower objective journalistic efforts, one should not assume that propensity for actuality without objectively assessing such funded journalism based on its merits. This is literally the standard in research work.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN GHANA & WHY . Watch. Watch. Watch Martin K. N. Kollie writes… Twenty-one (21) African Heads of State were present but only one (1) was celebrated and cheered. As they called them out, including the chairmen of ECOWAS and AU, at President John Dramami Mahama’s inauguration, the place was still quiet. When they called president Capt. Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, the audience went wild with unending cheers and applause. He stole the entire show even from President John Dramami Mahama. A huge crowd even escorted Traoré outside to his car after the program. Why did millions of Ghanaians celebrate Traoré? 1) He stays in his country working hard every day to solve structural problems for his people. He’s more focused on domestic affairs. 2) He doesn’t charter private jets traveling abroad almost every week to beg for aid and loans. He’s cutting down on public waste and prioritizing the development of the ordinary people. 3) He has built and is building factories across Burkina Faso including pharmaceutical production plant, tomato factories, cashew nuts factory, waste treatment factory, nuclear plant, etc. 4) He is building an industrial complex to produce shea butter, refined edible oil, etc. Millions of youth are getting back to work. 5) No public official is allowed to ride expensive cars, fly first class or waste money on foreign trips, etc. The President himself uses a used pick-up and diverts a huge amount of State money into improving the lives of his people. 6) He is nationalizing mineral resources to ensure Burkina Faso has its fair share. He’s investing millions in strategic sectors, including agriculture, health, education, energy, food security, tourism, security, etc. to drive job and wealth creation for his people. 7) Captain Ibrahim Traore reduced the wages of ministers, managing directors, commissioners, and other big shots by 30% and increased the wages of civil servants by 50%. Just to name a few. Are you still wondering why Ghanaians were celebrating him yesterday in front of 20 other African presidents”?

Dele Farotimi. A victim of Nigeria
I am strong enough to rumble unruffled against principalities and powers, but I am human enough to retain the capacity to shed tears of joy in appreciation of the grace of God, expressed in the concerted efforts of fellow victims. My battle axes are newly sharpened, my guns primed, I am ready to war..🇳🇬😎
