What a pleasure to welcome Mike Dilger @DilgerTV to see the #Chough in my garden yesterday. Reduced numbers due to the imminent breeding season but we were still treated to a visit by 32 individually identifiable colour ringed birds. @CerrigAnglesey

Didn't need to search too hard for this week's #Wildflowerhour challenge #YellowFlowers Daffodils, Gorse, Lesser Celandine, Dandelion & Marsh Marigold all found within a few minutes walk from the front door 😃🌼

Marsh Marigold flowers beginning to open this week. Apparently farmers used to hang the flowers over cattle byres on May Day to protect the cows from faeries and witches #wildflowerhour

For day 2 of the @BSBIbotany #NewYearPlantHunt a 3 hour walk around Menai Bridge #Anglesey with @AngleseyFlora resulted in us finding 34 species in flower including Green Alkanet, Fox and Cubs, Holly, Wood Avens, Winter Heliotrope & Wild Strawberry

For the 1st day of this year's #NewYearPlantHunt a walk through Aberffraw Dunes #Anglesey with 4 species in flower - Gorse, Dandelion, Groundsel & Poa annua Bee Orchid rosettes too & a lovely cluster of Honey Fungus I think growing on driftwood on the beach #Wildflowerhour
