so funny that my baby thinks I’m the greatest person and I know everything and actually I’m definitely using slang that hasn’t been cool in 5 years

and bc I was able to start labor on my own and my blood pressure was ok I was still able to just work with my midwives and I had the water birth I wanted and that was what was most important to me

luckily I was able to induce myself with less invasive interventions (2 days of acupuncture, 2 days of membrane sweeps, 1 day of castor oil) - my water broke just 4 hours before I was scheduled to get assessed/induced at the hospital

I guess I didn’t tweet between the beginning of the second trimester and the birth of my baby so I guess there are things to say about the rest of my pregnancy 🤔

@Chesedgirl I will say during the hormone come-down/sleep deprivation of the first two weeks I do feel like it actually mattered that it was very important to me to give him grace no matter how either of us were feeling though, this set a really good foundation

@Chesedgirl I am one month post-partum, have not read the book, and my relationship with my husband is doing awesome

@sonyasupposedly I have one itty bitty boy but one of my fav podcasts is My Brother, My Brother And Me so I already fantasize often about having 3 lol

I love having one little boy and I'm so excited to have two of them 💗

so far his nicknames include: baby son, tiny sir, little man, mister baby and at meal times: milk monster & ferocious beast

he’s one month old now, I dunno how that happened

@maybegray yeah the weeks between when the first trimester symptoms subside, and when you actually feel distinct movement, can be low-key stressful 😂

moms/fellow preggos - did it kinda freak you out when your symptoms went away during the early second trimester? I mean don’t get me wrong, I don’t love barfing or being exhausted but I find it kinda unsettling to be feeling so normal now 😳

@RichDecibels I am objectively impacted by the stock market but subjectively I am only impacted if I look at it which I wisely do not do

I don't think there's a meaningful correlation between my quality of life and the health of the stock market. am I being naive? feels like nearly everyone freaking out about the economy is kinda faking it? like watching an in-joke that I'm not in on? what?

@meekaale it almost feels like a crime that they’re called pregnancy pillows given how much that limits them in our minds, they should be called like mega pillows or orbit pillows or something that triggers the association that they are awesome

@maybegray wait wtf I broke my arm four months ago and sleeping is still slightly painful and I didn't once even think about using my wife's pregnancy pillows to support the arm

I can’t believe I have waited till I was pregnant to get a pregnancy pillow This is state of the art comfort technology and I can’t believe I’ve lived without it until now
