@KINDW0LF curl falls over her brow, and she blows it away with a puff of breath. her hair is a soft, dusky pink today—faded rose petals and cotton candy.

@KINDW0LF she hasn’t noticed 𝑦𝑒𝑡. cross-legged on the floor, humming faintly as she patches a tear in an old denim jacket with a clumsy but determined stitch.

her fingers slip down to his, curling around them without hesitation now. there’s no fear left in the gesture, just something quiet and certain. “but yeah,” she murmurs. “i’ll come home with you.”

the words a breath of something close to a laugh. “i don’t do casual sleepovers, you know. i kick in my sleep. i steal blankets.” she leans in, just a little, her forehead brushing his. the touch is light, but steady. grounded.

her smile deepens … not bright, not showy, but warm. sure. the kind of smile that reaches her eyes, just a little, softening the ache that’s lingered for too long. “you’d better mean it,” she says,

“oh no,” she says, mock-serious, “not the person you like—how will your reputation survive?” thumb brushes over the now thoroughly wrinkled fabric of his shirt with exaggerated sympathy, “tragic, really. you might have to burn it.”

it grows in intensity as she steps back, just enough to meet his eyes more clearly, like a blooming warmth spreading through her. there’s a new weight to the air between them … an unspoken bond that feels more real now than it ever has.

grin returning as she takes a step back, just enough to meet his eyes more clearly. “it’s the least i can do.” her hair shifts once more, a soft pink hue settling gently in the aftermath of her emotions.

her fingers brush over his cheek gently, wiping away the last remnants of his tears. she smiles softly, the warmth of it reaching her eyes, though there’s still a hint of tenderness, of vulnerability, in the way she looks at him.

“take it off, huh?” fingers trail lightly down his chest, “well, if you’re going to make it that easy …”

breath hitches as his lips brush her earlobe, teeth grazing her skin. she feels a wave of heat rush through her, and her heart pounds in her chest. she grins, teasing, but there’s a softness in her voice now, more than before.

@MOONLITGUILT when she gets out, she’ll be different. but that’s okay. they all are, after everything … she doesn’t have to be perfect. she’s not looking for that. she just wants her to be okay.

@metamorphosizes That’s… comforting. Comforting that she believes him. He knows just about everything about her, probably better than Rasalas herself. If she ever gets out, she will never be the same. She knows she’s probably heard that a hundred times already, but she doesn’t lie. Ever.

You know it’s quite rude that @metamorphosizes hasn’t visited her yet with how much Remus tells her about Tonks. JUST because I’m one of the most dangerous werewolves in Azkaban doesn’t mean a visit every once in a while would hurt! Sulking in her cell.

/ headcanon that dora’s hair was rarely pink until remus says he loves her and she says she loves him, too, then it’s constantly pink, only ever flickering to another color … until he leaves her when she’s pregnant then it turns black

“you don’t have to be afraid anymore,” she murmurs again, her words firming with a promise she knows she’ll keep. her heart races in her chest, but she doesn’t let go. not now. “i love you, remus. and i always will.”

“i’m not going anywhere,” she whispers, her voice thick with her own emotion. “not this time.” her hand slips to the back of his head, fingers threading through his hair, grounding him to her presence.

her arms stay wrapped tightly around him, her hands trembling just slightly as she feels his chest hitch with emotion. she doesn’t need to say anything more. she can feel the weight of his relief and fear all at once.
