So I’m eager to re-visit many of the debates I spent time learning about in my undergraduate studies!

Excited to be working on an article discussing balance of power in international relations theory. Specifically, whether a unipolar state (essentially a superpower far stronger than other potential rivals) is good or bad for peace.

The big catch-all phrase that describes this new direction would be something like: Exploring the behavior, nature, and evolution of complex systems. Really I’ll be talking about interesting aspects of different kinds of systems (in politics, history, physics, evolution…).

I’m making some changes to my newsletter. Over the last couple of months, I’ve only been writing about books, learning, and reading. But nowadays, I don’t think that’s fully reflective of my interests. So in addition to all of the above, I’ll also be exploring new topics.

We’re not trying to become artists, although you certainly can if you want to. Rather, we’re trying to tap into the power of visual thinking to help deepen our engagement with the world around us.

When studying the movement of water, he would attempt to capture its essence by sketching its turbulent complexity. Many of us have complicated relationships with drawing. We assume that it largely depends on innate talent and usually that we lack it.

And so we stop drawing at some point in our childhood or adolescence. But if we want to start thinking like Leonardo, then drawing is a wonderful tool we can use.
