The shortest conclusion to the debate of Mankad is that only the countries who haven't suffered it yet or try to attempt it often are supporting it.
You didn't see it happening in ODI World Cup Final, T20 WC games or Ashes because the players involved in those events reached there through long grind. They respect the sport itself more than just winning or losing it.
Players of countries like England, Australia, West Indies and Pakistan have been against it in open. Even Indian Men's team never attempted it under Dhoni, Rohit or Kohli. However, still a lot of Indian fans still support it because of the recent incidents in Women's cricket and IPL.
But God forbids, if it happens to any player in the important moment of World Cup or if any batter like Kohli nearing his century, the cricket world will see how the tables turn.
To end it, nothing wrong with the dismissal itself but a fair warning should be given once if you see him overstepping.
