Cleaning out the fridge is so much easier when I have Saturday's #Soundsofthe80s to keep me company! Nice to hear a shout out for the Twitter crew @IWW72 and @ThomasCutter 😃 Fab mix of tunes this week and loved a bit of Heart and Van Halen. 🎸🎸🎸 Great show! 🥰
English

@IWW72 @ThomasCutter Do Brussel Sprouts count Ian? 🤣🤣🤣 I'm not sure I fancy those in an omelette! 🤣🤣🤣
English

@mrskmob1 @ThomasCutter It came as a real shock to me, Karen. Our little crew are all lovely people.
Don’t be throwing anything away out of your fridge. It’ll make a delicious omelette.

@ThomasCutter @IWW72 Cheers Tom. I'm on catch-up a lot in the winter, but now Spring has arrived, I hope to be listening live more. I'm missing the Saturday night banter! 🤣🤣 Have a good rest of the week. 😀😀🥰

@Avonleebythesea I'm reading Anna Karenina at the moment. Levin's happiness whilst he's in the fields with the workers really hammers home the fact that contentment can be found in the small things in life. I've reached part five of the novel and absolutely love it.😃😃

This is the life Tolstoy longed for, the one he tried to get us to recognize through both Anna Karenina and War and Peace; it is not fame, passion, war, success that bring meaning, but the simple beauty of hard work in a field beneath an autumn sun, a wife and child waiting at home, a glass of wine, a beloved book, the worn hand of a grandmother, the peace of a life that is rich with moments.

“I love being at home. My life is very simple. I read a lot of books. I watch a lot of films. I listen to a lot of music. I tend the garden. I cook with my family. Yeah, I'm boring.” — Cillian Murphy

The ‘PEAKY BLINDERS’ sequel series will pick up after the events of the film, with plans for two new six-episode seasons.
“Once again, it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham Blitz. The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel, and it will be a hell of a ride,” says Steven Knight.

@mrskmob1 Think they had a pile on in America after Baftas but everyone in Scotland was behind him 💪🏴

I've been waiting for this to be released for ages and I wasn't disappointed. And yes, I was sobbing at the end! Now I'm going to rewatch the entire #PeakyBlinders series. Loved it! #TheImmortalMan
English

@80s_Kidz That movie stayed with me for my entire life. So traumatising....😭😭
English

@DavieMcfadyen Yes, I've seen it. 😃 I felt sad for him, especially in school and what happened at the BAFTA',s was disgusting. But God, I did laugh out loud too....🤣🤣
English

@mrskmob1 That's on my list , have you watched I Swear some bits make you laugh but overall it's pretty sad what he went through 😱
Milngavie, Scotland 🇬🇧 English

@DavieMcfadyen Hahahahahaaha 🤣🤣 I know what you mean about the music! 🤣🤣 But a lot of programmes are like that nowadays. Cillian Murphy has been brilliant! Big shoes to fill. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have you seen A Thousand Blows on Disney? Stephen Graham leads . It's great too! 😃😃
English

@mrskmob1 Hi Karen enjoyed the movie though thought title Immortal man meant Tommy Shelby sad to see him gone don't know what that means for upcoming series without all the original Shelbys only other complaints I thought music was too loud probably more to do with my age 👍😂
Milngavie, Scotland 🇬🇧 English

@everymovieplug Focussed on making way for the next generation of Peaky Blinders, I thought it was a fitting send off. 9/10. 😃
English

@DavieMcfadyen Look forward to hearing what you think! 😃 Have a good week Davie,n 🥰
English

@mrskmob1 Will do Karen thanks will send you my review either way 😁👍
Milngavie, Scotland 🇬🇧 English

@DavieMcfadyen A lot of people didn't enjoy it Davie, but I thought it was good. It's paved the way for the new series coming soon, with a new generation of characters. See what you think...😃
English

@mrskmob1 On my radar Karen take it you recommend it 👌😀👍

@perfectrose2011 @arealmofwonder There's definitely something in our DNA, Wendy. Since I was a little girl, I always felt a strong connection to Ireland. I've never been there, but always felt it held something for me. Recently, I found out my great great grandfather was Irish. The ancestors do reach out. 🥰
English

@mrskmob1 @arealmofwonder I agree. Being born in London, England, I've visited other areas on trips back to the UK many times after my parents & I immigrated to Vancouver, Canada when only six yrs. old. A first time visit to Cardiff, I felt I'd been there before. Ancestors perhaps? Souls touching ours?
