I track M&A deals with searchers in the search fund community. I've noticed a lot of M&A fails because of cultural fit. Aligning company values can make or break business transitions. Don't underestimate the power of company culture. The future state depends on it.

Is the grind in tech startups dead? Back in the 2010s, it used to be normal to hear about ramen noodles and people sleeping under their desks. Has the industry become soft? Or is it a sign of progress and maturity, where work-life balance takes precedence over hustle culture?

One critical aspect often overlooked is the human element in dealmaking. Before diving into any big deal, I try to break bread with the other side (lunch, dinner, etc.). I believe human connection facilitates smoother partnerships and better avenues for future negotiation.
