@SummerOkibe Problem is they don’t educate students on credit in college. I had to learn the hard way when I moved to US. Took me at least 5yrs to build my credit from 300’s to over 700’s. Golden rule is never ever purchase a new vehicle for at least 2 years b4 buying home.

if i want to apply for my first credit card to build credit while in college, where should I apply? who has the best deals? :)

As my undergrad is quickly coming to an end here’s some quick advice: 1. Start filing independently at 18 (if you can) 2. Get a credit card but DO NOT abuse it, build your credit 3. Call you family 4. Get a job in college no matter what

It blows my fucking mind that to improve my credit score, it's recommended to have FIVE OR MORE different credit cards. not to put on a tinfoil hat or anything but i'm beginning to think credit scores are some kind of scam 🥴

side note that first premiere bank card is the worst credit card i’ve ever had. do not recommend. as soon as i pay it off i’m cancelling it
