Never believe a party that claims to fight for the oppressed but ends up labelling opposition leaders' followers tharkuris, meaning uneducated or illiterate people. It shows how they look at those without a formal education. It's time we vote to power leaders who respect all.

@jasveer10 You should have told him @KnotDating in his resume will not make it look stronger. Quite the opposite. But seriously, sharing private chat is so un-cool.

@rmnth @ponnappa Absolutely, sir. It’s a virtuous cycle. People believe these schools are powerful, seek association with them, and that further boosts their influence. Even the fun post by @peeleraja and the serious one by ponnappa added to the mythmaking.

i know peeleraja is ragebaiting but the 90s blr icse/cbse english medium mafia is real and exists globally. it's no harvard mafia but it cranks. you won't believe how many 80s-90s baldwins/cottons/josephs/faps/nps/etc kids are now in their 30s and 40s in killer jobs all over the world.

Dear expat techbros of Bangalore. That Y Combinator gig is not where you will get your next investment. Neither is it that 9000 rupee run event or that pure veg thindi walk in Gandhi Bazaar/Malleswaram. The really big funding deals happen in Century Club, Bowring Institute, the Karnataka Golf Association, Bangalore Club and Karnataka State Cricket Association, over beers and baby corn Manchurian. If you are not a member of these clubs, find a co-founder who is. These guys have not studied in your nouveau riche Greenwood or DPS or Narayana or Brigade type schools. Nor are they former IIT aspirants from dummy schools in Kota or Vizag. They don't subscribe to Finance with Sharan. Their dads wear safari suits and are board members in nondescript co-operative banks, which they treat as their private piggy banks. They have land in Devanahalli and Maddur. Bathroom fittings showroom in Kumara Park. Your co-founder needs to be from Mallya Aditi, Valley School, Bishop Cottons, Baldwins, Frank Antony or St. Josephs (European). Management quota seat in RV or PESIT, or BCom from Surana College. Old money. Political connections. ICSE English. No Fear Sticker. Basically get a Danish Sait as your co-founder.

@anjanspace5 They are different. And Google AI is wrong (probably because it's trained by data from people who dont know the difference between the two). Try both one after another when you get a chance, and you will know.

If you Google Mysore bonda, it shows the recipe of Goli baje. And some brainless ethno nationalists are already giving me fatwa that I dont belong to Karnataka and dont know the difference between Mysore Bonda and Goli Baje.

@BhosalePratim Since you said it was 6 months since you moved to Amsterdam a year ago, now it must be one year and six months. Right?

It’s officially a year since I moved to Amsterdam. Since I last wrote my 6 month review, I’ve experienced so much more here. Here’s a more holistic review of my last 1 year in Amsterdam,Netherlands

@thekaipullai Interesting idea. But It fails at all levels -causation, incentives, evidence, feasibility, fairness and basic rule of law. And so, it will be a disaster in practice, get laughed out of court, distort markets and likely worsen the underlying problem. 🙏

I have one radical idea for curbing spitting in India. Don't fine the guy who spits Fine the companies that make that useless Gutkha which leads to the spit. Go after the cause. Not the effect. Create a portal where people can upload the photo of a spit bomb. Or a person spitting. Use CCTV cameras to capture images of people spitting. Use tech to sort out the duplicates For every unique spit uploaded and authenticated, fine Rs 1 to all the Gutkha companies. And it is a collective fine so all companies are responsible to pay this. Be it some major manufacturer like Vinay or some random operator out of a shanty in Jhumri Teliya. Display a live fine counter, where the fine keeps ticking upward as and when photos are uploaded. Then like the Toll on a national highway, Collect the fine from the Gutkha company collective at the end of every year. Leave the nitty gritties like how much each of the gutkha companies will pay, who will transfer the amount, the modalities of payment to the Gutkha company collective. You only bother about the receipt of the total fine amount If they don't pay, none of the Gutkha companies licenses get renewed. All get shut down. If something like this is put in place following things may happen 1. Gutkha companies R&D a new form of Gutkha that has no spit residue 2. Gutkha companies shut down and stop manufacturing this stuff. So the spit problem automatically gets resolved. 3. We are spared of those pathetic ads like Vimal Zubaan Kesari, Rajnigandha or Dilbagh pan masala on prime time TV. 4. We collect so much money that we can build a nationwide network of high speed rail, build a sophisticated 3 nm chip fabrication foundry and have enough lett over to remove that red stain from the entire country Drastic problems require some innovative solutions

The Nashik Story on alleged mass religious conversion has twists and turns. A media chronology helps us understand the dynamics. @sukumar_md writes: "In its print edition of April 16, the @IndianExpress reported that the entire fracas was caused by one romantic relationship gone wrong. It involved precisely one employee of the unit, no more." Now let's wait for @tata group's official investigation report #Nashik offbeatconcerns.com/manufacturing-…

I am enlightened today. Because our man has so beautifully explained that all an MLA or a state minister can do is give speeches & pass legislation. Other than that they can do nothing I never knew the position of an MLA is that powerless. If it is, why have these elections?
Puram@puram_politics

@thekaipullai Are you serious, dumbass? Modern governments work on the principle of separation of powers. A clean vaigai is not something an MLA can achieve as a one-off. What they can do: enact legislation. The executive is distinct. God, please tell you don't vote.

Over the years, I've learnt the hard way that women, even those close to you, can be nasty behind your back, for no good reason. It's so common that you end up looking like the problem with so many smear campaigns. That's why it's still a patriarchal society. Women dislike women.
