This post is not to worry or scare anyone but just to make everyone aware, especially if you are prone to reacting to insect bites.

With the change in weather, it is bringing out more insects so please be aware that it may be a good idea to spray yourself with repellent before attending parkrun or wear long sleeved/legged clothing.

We would like to bring it to your attention that a member of our core team was bitten by an unknown insect in the park last Saturday. Unfortunately she reacted badly and this resulted in her being treated for cellulitis in hospital for a few days.
