[연합뉴스] 한강 '작별하지 않는다' 전미도서비평가협회상 수상 노벨문학상을 받은 작가 한강의 장편소설 '작별하지 않는다' 영어판(영어제목 'We Do Not Part')이 미국의 권위 있는 도서상인 전미도서비평가협회(NBCC)상을 받았다. 전미도서비평가협회는 26일(현지시간) 미국 뉴욕에서 열린 2025년 출간 도서 시상식에서 이예원과 페이지 모리스가 번역한 한강의 '작별하지 않는다' 영어판을 소설 부문 수상작으로 선정했다. bit.ly/47pbTYS

사진은 내가 중고등학생 때 수집했던 베를리오즈 음반들 중 일부(Colin Davis의 Philips 레이블 시리즈 음반들과 Georg Solti의 음반).

최근 들어 몇 달 동안 실로 오랜만에 다시금 엑토르 베를리오즈(Hector Berlioz)의 음악에 새삼 흠뻑 젖어 있다. 그의 음악이 드러내는 '현대성'이 있다면, 그것은 시대적 '근/현대성(modernité)'이 아니라 차라리 '시대착오적 동시성(contemporanéité anachronique)'이라 불러야 할 무엇이라는 생각.

이 음반들의 진가를 아는 분들과 나누고자. 어릴 때부터 듣던, Charles Munch의 Hector Berlioz 해석, 두 개의 앨범. (세월이 흐를수록 Berlioz의 '현대성'에 새삼 놀라고 그를 더욱 존경하게 된다.)
