@myrlewko@5tuartreeves If they don’t know the field, then they might not be picking appropriate reviewers for the field. Hard to put limits around an interdisciplinary field though, so sometimes finding someone who is good and careful as an editor is enough.
@myrlewko@5tuartreeves Agree with @myrlewko here - if they know the field, they probably know the expectations at the specific venue, and/or can most likely be caught up on any particulars quickly.
We are hiring a postdoc (2 years) on digital activism as part of SHAPE - Shaping Digital Democracy, questioning the normalisation of digital technology and imagining better or more inclusive futures. The person will work closely with me+ @christianvonandau.dk/om/stillinger/…
If you're not in the habit of filling out post-conference surveys, make an exception and fill this one out if you attended #CHI2022 in person! I know of a lot of folks who have tested positive, and without data we won't understand how effective (or ineffective) our policies were.
Presenting our TOCHI-paper on non-dualistic soma design at #CHI2022 this morning. One of the most difficult papers we've written in many years. And right after me another TOCHI-paper from our group w Anna Ståhl @MadelineBalaam & Vas Tsaknaki! Soma design rules this year! 😁
