I think the decision to announce Valko’s cancellation was bc they were afraid real people, including the cosplayer, would get attacked by malicious individuals. So they decided to temporarily remove him until the public opinion changed in Valko’s favor.

But I saw someone reference the posts going around speculating Infold won't say anything until after AX is over, and they made an EXCELLENT point: IF (again this is JUST A THOUGHT. Don't get yourself excited over unverified speculation), the idea is to bring Valko back, they can't do it during AX, because they had a slew of women ready to meet Valko. They probably can't set up/bring the coser back on that short notice. It would look visually messy, and be a logistical headache.
