Haha, I have gone through this cycle in the case of Medium. That is when I chose to move away from hosted blogging platforms, both for writing and reading.
That meant getting a domain name and hosting my blog there independently, and curating RSS feeds that I liked.
I do follow some Substack publications with my RSS feed reader. It seems like adding `/feed` to the Substack publication URL would give an RSS feed for it :)
