When your team’s window has closed, when you have no prospects coming up, when you have no picks coming up, you don’t double down. You sell what you can to recoup picks and your rebuild from the bottom up

The leafs have an aging core, terrible defence, lack of depth up front, stars who disappear during the playoff and very average goaltending. Oh, no assets to trade. This should be a fire sale
